Two young men were arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a missing teenage girl was discovered.
18-year-old Bobbi-Anne McLeod was a bright young lady from Plymouth, England, who was declared missing after failing to meet up with her boyfriend on Saturday.
As the authorities confirmed, the girl never reached her boyfriend’s place after taking a bus ride to the city center.
Days after her mysterious disappearance, the police have come across a body believed to belong to the missing teenager.
“Sadly, earlier today the body of a woman was located near Bovisand, South Hams, during searches by police officers. These searches were carried out following information received by police,” a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed.
“Formal identification has yet to be carried out but the family of Bobbi-Anne McLeod have been informed of this development and are being supported by investigators.”
The police added that two men, aged 24 and 26, have since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Following the disturbing discovery, Bobbi’s heartbroken family paid a touching tribute to the 18-year-old and dubbed her “a beautiful and talented girl.”
“Until we meet again sis. I love you,” Bobbi’s brother, Lee, wrote in his post.
“You didn’t deserve this, such a beautiful and talented girl and to have you as my little sister, the adventure and journey we had been on will always be treasured. Now go rest easy.”
The brother’s heartfelt message comes days after he pleaded with his Facebook friends to help the family “search everywhere search everything” in an attempt to locate his missing sister.
“I’m begging everyone [sic] single person in Plymouth help me search everywhere search everything,” Lee wrote shortly after his sister failed to show up at her boyfriend’s place.
“She was due to meet her boyfriend and she never showed up, she’s been with her boyfriend a long time – about six months now. I live next door and I’m a close family friend, she’s not one to just disappear, it’s very odd.
“She’s a very in girl, she is very family orientated, she’s got a boyfriend – he’s ever so nice – and a few friends. She’s just a lovely girl and this is so out of character for her.”
