49-year-old Kassceen Weaver from Virginia was indicted for the murder of Eliel Adon Weaver after the child’s remains were discovered in the freezer after his concerned relative called the police.

The father was indicted for felony child abuse, felony murder, neglect, and aggravated viscous wounding while Eliel’s mother, 48-year-old Dina Weaver, was charged with conspiracy to conceal a body and failing to render aid to a child, KFVS12 reported.

In addition, Kassceen was charged with concealment of a body, malicious wounding of an adult woman, and domestic assault after he allegedly burned and beat his wife.

But his attorney successfully argued that there was not enough evidence of malicious intent or that he was responsible for concealing Eliel’s remains.

According to Law & Crime, the charge of conspiracy to conceal the body was dropped.

Dina’s brother reportedly called the police about his ‘concerns’ regarding his sister’s ‘domestic violence situation.’

He also said that she told him that her child had already been dead for two years.

Police obtained a warrant and searched the family’s property on May 4. They discovered Eliel’s body wrapped in adult clothing and a sheet in one of the freezers.

The stench of human remains emanating from it led police to contact the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Speaking to WTVR-TV, Chesterfield Police Major Mike Louth said: “It’s taken a little bit of time to get us to the point right here just for the fact that this isn’t your typical type of investigation.

“We have human remains that had been in a freezer for approximately a year and a half to two years. So you know, we needed to have an autopsy done, and they worked really well with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

Louth added: “They brought in some specialists, some forensic anthropologists to help us out on this.”
