Siobhan Meade, a resident of Norfolk, was not allowed to take her guide dog inside a restaurant, which upset her.
A blind woman went to a restaurant referred to as the Taste of India in King’s Lynn with her husband and her guide dog. A staff member asked her that she is not allowed to take her dog inside the restaurant with her as the restaurant does not allow the presence of any canine in their territory.
The woman tried to explain to the staff member that her dog is not an ordinary pet but her guide dog and is permitted to go everywhere with her, but the staff member didn’t budge. According to the policy of the restaurant, no dogs were allowed inside the premises of their restaurant, and they cannot permit this in any case.
Later another person appeared and apologized for the misconduct. On hearing that the dog is not a usual pet but a guide for the blind woman, he let all of them in and kept on apologizing for the earlier encounter.
Siobhan shared this on YouTube and expressed her feeling.According to her, she felt really bad and humiliated the moment the staff member refused the dog’s entrance.
Treating a blind woman this way is terrible, and she is frustrated to no end.It is very exhausting for her to fight for her rights before entering a restaurant. She just wanted to have a nice meal with her husband and was in mood of spending some quality time with him.
Share this article with your friends and family and tell them how they should treat blind people. Some people in our society deserve kindness from their fellow being no matter what, and blind people are included in those few individuals.
