While Biden was busy praising the vice president for her roles on border diplomacy, many critics from the Republicans raised eyebrows on the president’s decision of doing so. This is because they felt Kamala Harris has done too little too late, despite being appointed as the border Cezar for over a month now.

On the other hand, the vice president was also criticized by the media for failing to visit the border with many wondering what her priorities really were. In a recent press conference, White House press secretary, Jen Psaki mentioned how Harris’ main goal was in fact not visiting the border. Instead, she spoke about how her primary focus relied upon developing good relations at the Northern Triangle.

Currently, the immigration issue continues to remain a majorly divisive one as the surge across the border continues with thousands still embarking upon migrant crossings as we speak.
